God was always present in my life but I didn’t go to church etc. God was born once again in my heart when I went to army and during a military camp which lasted 6 weeks. It was a very demanding time, especially mentally. We could go to church every Sunday and I used those chances to meet Him to feel stronger, supported, and safe. This time pulled us back together but after that when I started studying I used the simplest excuse saying that I don’t have time to go to church. Just before Christmas the most important confession happened!
During which the priest told me that every Sunday God is waiting for me to see me, meet me, hug me etc. Exactly the same as my mum at home. It made me understand that I have to have time for God, no matter what!!! He can’t wait for me with no response. Since then I have been in church almost every Sunday for 2.5 years and I feel so much happier! I wait every day for the opportunity to meet Him, not only through prayer but also in His home. I believe in God because once I decided to entrust my life to Him I knew He would take care of it better than I could even imagine. Through everything I do I try to make Him proud, thank Him for everything He has ever done for me, that He is present in my life, supports me, and guides me. I believe my life is full, complete, beautiful and colorful while He is present in it. Without Him I am sure I won’t achieve this level of happiness and motivation.

The fact that I’m playing professional basketball is a testament of God’s faithfulness. Many people have doubted me and said I wasn’t good enough, but God chose me and He has blessed me to play 8 years.

Being a good person wasn’t enough. I wanted to be one with Christ and serve Him and others. I wanted a complete life with Christ. This led to my baptism and further education and service. During this time I challenged myself and my family to take a look at how being one with Christ is achieved. One main point that I continue to grow in is evangelism. A daunting yet important task in our journey to eternal living. My walk still continues and embedding myself in the Word and surrounding myself with different people allow me to share and learn from experiences. I want my faith to become my identity and lead my decisions unconsciously.

My family and culture is surrounded around the Christian faith. It was helpful being around people active in their faith. However, being in the environment doesn’t automatically make one a believer or strong believer of Christ. I had a moment in Mass where the priest spoke about having eternal life with the Father and it awoken me to want that and do what was necessary.

As far as I remember, I didn’t start seeking God for myself and feel the need for his help until college. I remember writing in a daily journal I wanted to read the Word more. Now as I am still growing in my pursuit, reading the Word of God is important daily as I feel I am discovering more of God, myself and learning how to operate from a place of love. Reading and being in God’s presence has liberated me from certain sins that have kept me hostage for many years. It has given me different eyes from the world and helped me find beauty, a heart to love and give and a mind with a better attitude. Because of God, I am what I am and am still progressing.

I grew up hearing about God and going to church and Bible study every Sunday unless it was impossible because of basketball for us to go. The Word was pretty much engrained from hearing it. I was gifted a Bible at some point during high school and would take it with me to church or Bible study to follow along.

I believe in God because I don’t think we as human beings just popped up out of no where and I have seen how God listened to me, talked to me, and worked in my life and other’s lives as well.

God has been a part of my life since before I can remember. I grew up in the church, going to Sunday service, Bible study on Wednesday, and attending all the youth events. Yet, even though I was raised in Christian environments and doing my best to please God, it wasn’t until college that I really began seeking and coming to know Him for myself.
So many things have happened in my life, and in the lives of those I deeply care about, that the only explanation is a God who created and purposed all things. Regardless of where I was along my Christian journey, He has always met me where I was at. Through the good and the rough times, my Heavenly Father has never left me and I’ve seen His Hand in my life so clearly. The path I have been on has been rooted in faith and marked by perseverance, and passion, allowing me to learn so many valuable lessons along the way. I’m just grateful that I serve a faithful Father who cares and who loves me endlessly through it all.
He has called me, chosen me, and purposed me to bear fruit on this earth that reflects Him, so that others may come to know Him for themselves. Choosing Him is the best decision I’ve ever made and has changed my life forever.

I did not meet Jesus until I was 17, and my life has been dramatically different ever since. It felt like I finally found some missing puzzle pieces in my life. Now the picture is complete with Jesus. It is not perfect, but it is complete because I know I am complete in Him and His perfect love. It is very freeing to know that no matter how bad I mess up, Jesus always offers His grace and I am always loved. Living according to His principles and standards has made my life so much better, fuller, and easier because I have Him during trials. With Jesus, I have never felt more loved, supported, and comforted. My journey of faith is full of lessons and growth, but it is extremely rewarding and fulfilling. I wish that everybody who does not know Jesus would get the same chance I got - just to get to know Him and see how much He can turn your life around.
